    Stellar-Cartography is a place for visually-pleasing, interactive sci-fi maps. For now, I’m focused on the Star Wars galaxy. In the future, I’d like to branch out to Star Trek, and perhaps beyond.

    TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS STAR WARS MAP

    If you’ve ever taken a deep dive into Star Wars planets, you’ll know that a great many of the named worlds have essentially nothing known about them, at all. So, in order to have coherent and balanced database entries, I had to make up a fair amount of stuff – Star Wars lore is swiss cheese, and I did my best to plug the holes as seamlessly as possible. In short, I’d say the current makeup of the information stands as follows:

    • 70% Expanded Universe (aka “Legends”)
    • 29% Stuff I made up (aka “head-canon”)
    • 1% *gag* CANON *barf*

    I’m also trying my best to tie-in orphaned aliens – sentient species we’ve seen or heard of in novels or comics, but either don’t know what they’re called or where they come from – by giving them a home.

    Even though the outer regions of the galaxy have official, beautiful maps of the various Sectors, the inner regions of the galaxy never received this glorious treatment. So for the Sectors of the Core Worlds, I have done my best to interpret the known facts and create something as reasonable and accurate as possible.

    This began as a project with the intention that it would strictly be for personal use, so I liberally grabbed things from the internet at my lesieur without bothering to properly attribute anything. So this is my attempt at playing catch-up. Aside from AI art and official Star Wars images that can readily be found online, here are some sources:
